Trump Campaign filed a libel lawsuit against CNN on Friday for publishing “false and defamatory” statements about seeking Russia’s help in the 2020 election. CNN who is the armpit of fake news was earlier snared by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Action undercover sting.
From The Last Refuge: Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe has released part-1 of an insider video series highlighting daily instructions from CNN President Jeff Zucker to his organization. Perhaps the most disturbing aspect to this insider report is the 9:00am daily instructions from the president of a news organization telling his executives which aspects of the political effort to disparage President Trump should be their focus.
From Fox News: The complaint alleges CNN was aware of the falsity at the time it published them but did so for the intentional purpose of hurting the campaign while misleading its own readers in the process… the campaign filed this lawsuit against CNN and the preceding suits against The New York Times and The Washington Post to hold the publishers accountable for their reckless false reporting and also to establish the truth,” Senior Legal Adviser to Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.
From Fox 19: CNN agreed Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann. The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky. Sandmann’s lawsuit sought $800 million from CNN, the Washington Post and NBC Universal. Trial dates are still not set for Sandmann’s lawsuit against NBC Universal and the Washington Post.
