I’m Out Of Facebook Jail Without The 1st Notification
FidoSysop Last Updated
Since August 21st my FidoSysop Facebook Page new post share notifications were turned off, but Saturday the page came back to life. I had blogged about Beto O’Rourke selling take your AR-15’s away and shared it to Facebook. To my surprise the post was getting comments and likes, that was not possible previously. With no notification I was out of Facebook Jail. 🙂
I have no idea why i was silently sanctioned to begin with. When posting and commenting to Facebook I’ve learned from previous experiences to be nice. That’s biting my tongue and not saying my first thoughts, and sugarcoating my response. Often I decide not to comment as there really was no way to make my comment Facebook police approved.
I’m thinking this situation goes deeper than Facebook jail. It started on August 21 and between August 22 and 23 this domain was scraped. All my blog posts, images, archives, etc were harvested by private IP addresses. The server consumed more bandwidth in those two days that it used in a month. But that was just the beginning of the nightmare.
Knowing something was up but not sure what it was, I started running site commands in Bing and Google search. It was revealed all my indexed urls were removed from Bing search. At that time docsplace.org was still indexed in Google search. I contacted Bing webmaster support and asked why my site was dropped from their index.
It took a couple of days, but a Bing support rep responded and said I’m working on this, please give me some time. Another email said my domain was blocked at Bing SERP. This rep escalated the ticket to another department. I received another reply back saying that Bing had removed the block, and to give it 3-4 weeks to be re-indexed. I was told to resubmit my sitemaps and major site urls to quicken the indexing process.
Google search console indexed urls graph showing the days FidoSysop Blog was de-indexed.
Assuming this was Facebook flagging my domain as containing harmful content, I disconnected docsplace.org from Facebook business manager, and removed it’s verification from DNS. I also removed Facebook and Pages Manager apps from my smartphone. The next week search console revealed Google had also removed my site from their index for several days, but had put it back.
It’s obvious someone reported this domain as containing hateful or inappropriate content. Maybe Facebook was ordered to shadowban my FidoSysop page by someone high up. Maybe after scraping the site whoever did it realized there were no hateful or dangerous content on it. FidoSysop reached 3.2 MILLION Donald J. Trump supporters! 😉
FidoSysop served up Millions of views and engagements taking snapshots of tweets that his Facebook followers loved.
It’s also strange that Facebook put FidoSysop in and out of it’s jail with no notifications. Yea I have a BIG MOUTH and as a rule don’t beat around the bush or sugarcoat anything. However when I’m on Facebook I’m on my best behavior.
All i ask of Facebook is to be given an equal platform where I can share material other conservatives and Trump supporters enjoy. It’s not a whole lot to ask for! 🙂
